Silje and Sigrid Present:
"Silje og Sigrid presents" has now established itself as a nationwide evening of folk music and folk music in the city center. They guide us through traditional music and urban folk tunes from the big city stages, with the goal of opening more people's eyes to both the folk music scene and traditional music.

Join us in a musical universe where anxiety about the present and the future meets ancient myths, riddles and stories. The music develops in the encounter between sleight rhythms, old ballad structures and free improvisation, with a rich variety of string and rhythm instruments. The dance rhythms meander softly and meditatively through the soundscape – simple and complex, gentle and intense at the same time.
This will be a concert experience that both moves, amazes and draws the audience into a timeless musical space.
With Marit Karlberg, Anders Røyne, Hans Hulbækmo and Magnus Skavhaug Nergaard.
The concert series is supported by the Directorate of Culture, Agder County Council, Folkorg, Valle Municipality and Valle Sparebank.

There is a great atmosphere with piano troubadour Carl Inge Grim in the bar.

Norsk-Irsk aften
Velkomen til ein konsert med eit nytt norsk‑irsk musikalsk samarbeid!
Denne hausten møter tradisjonar frå Setesdal og Irland i ei heilt spesiell konsertoppleving.
Mor og son, Inger Lise Stulien og Endre Stulien Robstad, deler scena med dei irske musikarane Cedar Dobson (fløyter, whistles og vokal), Lúan De Burca (bouzouki og vokal) og Gabriel Gonzalez (gitar, fløyter og whistles). I lag skapar dei eit musikalsk møte der tradisjonell folkemusikk lever side om side med nye lydlandskap, sterke melodiar og improvisasjon.
Publikum kan gle seg til ei stemningsfull reise mellom Setesdal og Irland, med energiske slåttar, vakre balladar og historier som bind menneske og kulturar saman. Konserten løftar fram røter, identitet og musikalske møte på tvers av generasjonar og landegrenser.
The Cedar Dobson Band er kjend for sitt kraftfulle og nyskapande uttrykk, medan Inger Lise og Endre formidlar den rike kulturarven frå Setesdal,og dei gamle folketonane, med varme, nærleik og glede gjennom song, hardingfele, munnharpe og tradisjonelle hornfløyter.
Velkomen til ei konsertoppleving som rører, inspirerer og byggjer bruer mellom kulturar gjennom musikk!
I samband med konserten serverer vi Shepherd’s pie i restauranten – ein varm og smakfull klassikar med kjøtfyll og mjukt potetmoslokk. Ein godbit med røter i den britisk-irske matkulturen, perfekt før eller etter ei musikalsk reise mellom Setesdal og Irland.

Scooter dance
Saturday, November 7th is Snowmobile Day, and after a day of scooter talk, it's good to get some dancing too. BackBone is coming to this year's Scooter Dance!
In the restaurant we serve Scooterbiff from 18-21 pm. If you order this package, a ticket to the dance is included.
BackBone plays up to dancing at approximately 10:30 PM.

BackBone is a trio consisting of Carl Inge Grim, Jeanne Joreid and Merete Joreid. All three of them grew up with music in their spines, hence the name BackBone.
Carl Inge is a troubadour and pianist and has been playing music since the 80s. He has played with, among others, Gledeskompaniet, Conwoy and Rødmix. Jeanne is a vocalist and guitarist, her sister Merete is a chorister and was a drummer and already as teenagers they started the girl band Country Girls which played all over the country in the 80s and 90s. Has later played with various bands and had several guest appearances with, among others, Hawk Christensen, G.Thommas, Arly Karlsen and Big.B.
Together they started the trio BackBone in 2023 and have a repertoire that contains mostly country, but has also mixed in drops if desired. BackBone gets great feedback on both song selection, singing voices and stage performance. Just enjoy

Christmas table with E-76:
Welcome to our tasty Christmas buffet with all traditional Norwegian Christmas food and with the addition of our distinctive Christmas food with e.g. mountain laurel, turnip and homebaka lefse. Rice cream and molt cream are of course on the dessert table!
E-76 plays up to dancing! E-76 from Vinje and Midt-Telemark has been one of the most prominent bands in dialect country rock since their inception in 1991. With a unique combination of driving guitars, great stories and catchy choruses, they have captivated audiences for over three decades – and are constantly winning new fans.
The band is known for creating a real party atmosphere, where songs like Dån Johan, Asfaltcowboy, Ingen som kæm til meg i kveld and Sauekjøt have become pure sing-along classics.
E-76 doesn't stop there, though. With their new single To kråker, they show that they still have a lot to offer – a beautiful and humorous story about life, love and new chances, which is guaranteed to find its place in the hearts of the audience.

G.Thomas celebrated 40 years as a full-time professional country artist in 2022.
He began his professional career as a pub artist at Tyholmen kro in Arendal in 1982. With his 40 years of experience as a touring Country artist, he is today one of the most experienced artists in his genre in Norway. He is described as a legend of his kind in the Norwegian/Scandinavian and European context.
G.Thomas often tours with his own solid band but also works in side projects ”The European Highwaymen” (released the CD – SPINNING in 2013), Is also current with the country shows…. ¨¨Who`s Gonna Fill their shoes¨… (A country music history for cultural centers) – Classic Country Night (with his own band and guests), Stories from »Livets Landevei» – CountryGospel Night (acoustic program about stories from life) and his outlaw project ¨From Hank To Waylon¨, where G.Thomas and Hawk Christensen focus on the Outlaw Country history.
This evening he is accompanied by Hawk Christensen and Stian Øvland and there is guaranteed to be a good atmosphere.

Nyttår på Sølvgarden:
La oss ta hand om middagen, stemninga og feiringa – så kan du nyte den siste kvelden i året saman med dei du er glad i.
Vi ønskjer velkomen kl. 19.30 til ein festkveld med 3-retters middag, velkomstdrink og vinpakke til kr 1 495 per person.
Når middagen er over, held nyttårsfesten fram utover kvelden. Ved midnatt samlast vi til rakettoppskyting og ønskjer det nye året velkomen saman.
Det er eit avgrensa tal plassar, så ver tidleg ute med reservasjonen.
